FABRICS

All our fabric is printed to order with a 4-week lead-time unless in stock.

Velvet

Our velvet is an upholstery weight cotton velvet; the fabric is suitable for domestic or light commercial upholstery. The velvet has a 100% cotton pile; it is not fireproofed, but can be upon request.

Our Velvet is printed for us in a way that sometimes causes slight marks, blemishes, staining and spotting. This is a characteristic of our artisan printing methods so as to get the depth and vibrancy of colour we so desire.

Silk

Our printed silk is a fashion weight silk satin.

Our silk is backed with a reinforcing fabric to give it body and strength, suitable for furnishings and light domestic upholstery.

Linen

Our printed linen is 100 % linen and suitable for furnishings and light domestic upholstery.

Quality

We quality check all our fabric and will discuss any issues that may concern us.

Printed batches of fabric may have slight colour variations. Our Fabric is printed for us in a way that sometimes causes slight marks, blemishes, staining and spotting. This is a characteristic of our artisan printing methods so as to get the depth of print and vibrancy of colour we so desire.

Please check your fabric to make sure you are satisfied with it prior to cutting.

Before ordering fabric by the metre we suggest you purchase a fabric sample, as the colours on your computer screen may not give a true reflection of the fabric’s colour and tone.

Fabric swatches are available at £5 per swatch for velvet and £3 for linen, discounted from any order placed.

Alternatively, small fabric cuttings can be sent free of charge.

Fabric care

All our fabrics can be affected by direct sunlight, keeping it out of the sunlight will prolong your fabric’s vibrant colours.

Our silk tend to be more susceptible to fading than most other fabrics. Our fabrics are not guaranteed against color fading.

Lining and interlining is recommended when using our fabrics for curtains and blinds.

A fire retardant Interliner is recommended for all upholstery.

Dry cleaning is recommended for all our fabrics.

Furniture should be cleaned using a steamer.

No liability will be accepted for changes in appearance, performance, or defects in any of our fabrics if they are treated after purchase by spraying or processing of any kind, including flameproofing or the application of stain repelling treatments.

Furniture

All our furniture is hand made to order here in Dorset England.

Lead-time for our furniture is 12 to 14 weeks unless in stock.

All furniture is made using a solid hardwood frame and upholstered in traditional way using hand tied springs and natural materials were possible.

Portrayal of products

While every effort has been made to portray items accurately variations may occur. 

All measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow.

Ordering

All items are made to order unless stated as in stock and are subject to lead times.

When placing an order you agree all given information is accurate.

All orders are subject to acceptance by corita rose Ltd.

If we do not have the item in stock the item will be made to order.

Once the order has been placed you will receive a conformation email, listing the item, its specifications and delivery times. Please check the confirmation email and that all details are correct, please contact us if any details are incorrect.

Ownership of the goods will pass to you when we receive full and cleared payment for the goods.

Cancelation of Furniture orders

Once your order has been placed you have 7 days to change your mind, you must inform us by email or letter.

We will reimburse you in full once notification has been received.

After 7 days a cancelation fee of up to 50 % plus costs will be charged, depending how much work has been done.

Cancelation of Bespoke or commissioned work

Cancelled bespoke or commissioned work will be liable for design charges and associated costs.

Once printing and construction has started we cannot offer a refund.

Payment and privacy

All orders will not become live until payment has been made in full. One the order has been placed you will receive a conformation email, listing the item, its specifications and delivery times. You must check the confirmation email and that all details are correct, please contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.

All prices stated include VAT if applicable and delivery to the UK mainland only.

Trade customers will be invoiced with a pro former invoice again no orders will become live until payment is made in full.

Corita Rose uses pay pal as its online method of payment. We also accept payment by cheque and bacs transfer, please contact us for details.

All credit card and debit cards are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorize payment to us, we will not be liable for delay or non-delivery of goods.

Corita Rose Ltd will not store your card or payment details.

Your contact information (address, email etc) will solely be used to administer your account. We will not disclose your details to a third party. We may use these details to inform you of Corita Rose future products unless you ask us not to.

Delivery

All prices include delivery to uk mainland.

If items are in stock orders should be dispatched within 48 hrs.

Delivery is by Courier or Royal mail for small items.

Couriers often deliver during the day, so if at work an alternative address may be prudent.

The delivery date or period within which you are to receive your order is approximate. If you are ordering more than one item, the goods may be sent in installments if certain items are out of stock and need to be made, this will be at no extra cost to you.

For delivery of larger items such as furniture, we will contact you two weeks prior to delivery to arrange a suitable delivery date and time, please check for any possible access issues for furniture, i.e. narrow doorways or stairs. If you have any questions or concerns please call the studio to discuss further. Corita Rose accepts no liability for items not being able to be delivered due to access restrictions and any associated costs due to restricted delivery will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

On delivery, please check the Products carefully for any possible defects and that you are happy with the condition of your order, you will be asked to sign a delivery note that confirms you are happy with the condition of your order.

Delivery outside the uk

For delivery to Europe and the rest of the world, please contact us by email prior to ordering, stating your city and country and we will get a quotation for shipping by Air or Sea.

Corita Rose ltd cannot be liable for any import duties, taxes etc arising as a result of the goods being sent to a destination outside The UK.

Any costs relating to returns will be the responsibility of the purchaser. If Corita Rose or the carrier is found to be at fault, we will reimburse reasonable shipping costs

Delivery to 3rd parties 

When delivering to third parties on the instructions of the customer (curtain makers, upholsterers, locations etc.), it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the correct material is received and it has been fully inspected. We cannot accept claims or returns after the fabric has been cut or in respect of any costs incurred in the making of items using received fabrics.

When delivering to client’s houses or sites it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the correct item has been received, it is fully inspected, signed for and appropriately cared for after delivery.

Corita Rose will not accept any liability for any items, damaged, lost or stolen after item or items have been signed for.

Refunds and returns

On delivery, please check the Products carefully for any possible defects. With furniture orders you will be asked to sign a delivery note that confirms you are happy with the condition of your order.

If you believe that any of our Products may be defective or of unsatisfactory quality, please contact us as soon as possible. If you're not satisfied with our product, you can return the merchandise within 7 days of receipt and we will provide you with a suitable replacement or credit note.

Please return the product in its original condition, including packaging, and we will refund you the cost of the product excluding our original delivery costs as soon as possible following our agreement to do so.   Made to commission items - Furniture, Furnishings and Items made to customer’s specifications cannot be returned, unless faulty. If found to be faulty a replacement will be provided. You must ensure that you get proof of posting and that the item is insured to a suitable value.

Safety regulations

All products comply with the appropriate UK safety and consumer regulations and upholstered products are lined with fire retardant interlining. If using our fabrics for upholstery, please note you will need a fire retardant interliner.

Furnishings are not fireproofed, but can be upon request, please contact studio for additional charges. 

Liability

We, any other party (whether or not involved in creating, producing, maintaining or delivering this Website), and any of our group companies and the officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents of any of them, exclude all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with this Website in any way or in connection with the use, inability to use or the results of use of this Website, any websites linked to this Website or the material on such websites, including but not limited to loss or damage due to viruses that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing this Website or your downloading of any material from this Website or any websites linked to this Website.

We do not warrant that materials/items for sale on the Website are appropriate or available for use outside the United Kingdom. It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
